The course Physical Education must be declared in the TalTech study information system ÕIS. Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students may declare the Physical Education course for free twice and like any other course, is declared in the study information system ÕIS:
In the fall semester - MK 3001 Basics of Physical Movement I, 3 ECTS
In the spring semester - MK 3002 Basics of Physical Movement II, 3 ECTS
Requirements to PASS the courses:
- Attend at least 24 contact hours/workouts in TalTech sport center
- Uploaded individual work in Moodle
- Positively passed the Theoretical Test on basic knowledge in Moodle
GROUPS according the field of sport – choose the group based on your intent to pass the theoretical test. Groups are declared according to head coaches:

NB! You can attend any kind of sport group to validate your participation, you need at least 24 workouts altogether.
VALIDATING the workouts in sport center EVERY TIME you participate as follows:
1. FIRST VALIDATION: Entering the sport center at security gates.
2. SECOND VALIDATION: at the entrance of the workout room. NB! have ISIC/student card with you
3. THIRD VALIDATION: leaving the sport center at the security gates.
NB! Unethical behavior (for example using other people’s student cards in any way) result in failed course at once
NB! you need 2€ to open the locker in changing room, MUST HAVE indoor sport shoes, towel and water bottle. You can validate ONE training class PER DAY, but you can stay longer and work out more during the day. NB! You must stay in the sport center at least 60-minutes, gates are open to enter 30-min prior and 10-min after the workout official starting time. (if workout starts at 10, you can enter the gates at 9.30-10.10)

After the deadline for the submission of an individual study plan, the security gates of the sports centre can be opened by any student who has declared the course Physical Education and has obtained a student card.
An ISIC or Student card is required for entering the sports centre. The card is required for entering the sports centre and for calculating the training classes one has attended. Student cards can be ordered from TalTech Student Union. Please, if you have any issues in validating the cards in sportshall gates, turn to administration desk.

- PumpFX is a strength and conitioning class which is meant for both men and women. In PumpFX class we use barbells and weight plates and the focus during each song is on a specific muscle group. PumpFX provides a progressive, total body workout. As a result you will get a good muscle tone and healthy posture, whole body training in one hour and good emotion for the whole day. PumpFX is a concept class and the program is changed after every three months.

ENDURANCE classes focus more on full body conditioning and includes more jumping and multi-directional movements. Equipment wise we use own body weight and partners and team members as dumbbells.

- Strength and muscle conditioning class, which is mainly focused on abs, glutes and back but also includes other muscle groups. Starting with an aerobic warm-up the muscles are prepared for an efficient upcoming training. Different equipment is used as well as balance exercises. The class ends with stretching.

- Circuit Training class is held in 10-12 different workout stations with different exercises and all the bases are executed for 2 rounds. In between rounds there is usually a cardio part (i.e. running). Different equipment is used during the training but also a lot of bodyweight exercises.

- Mobility/stretching is a class where different exercises and exercise series are made to improve your mobility and flexibility. The tempo of the class is rather slow-paced. In the first part of the class more active mobility exercises are done and in the ending part more longer and static stretches are used. Sometimes also foam-rolls are used. It is also suitable as a recovery training from more active trainings.

- Intermediate intensity in general physical training combined with cardio and muscle training in the outdoors close by nature from TTU Sports Center. Training is ment for everyone who enjoys running and jumping in the outdoors despite the weather and terrain conditions. Training begins with warm-up jogging, followed by excercises for all larger muscle groups.

- YOGAFUNC is a fitness yoga class with music, based on the traditional techniques (asana, breath, vinyasa) from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. It is not a traditional yoga class but a fun and effective training method suitable for everyone who want to get a taste of yoga, without diving deep into a traditional yoga system. YOGAFUNC is a concept class which means that the program is done with music and changed after every 3 months. The benefits for participants training regularly include: gained strength, improved flexibility, better balance and body awareness, and peace of mind. - A full-body conditioning class using various pieces of equipment to ensure an improvement in muscle tone, strength and endurance. Music is widely used in this class as a training method and many exercises are built to match the music. Class starts with a brief warm up, followed by a short combination of aerobic movements although the main part of class is strength training. Intervals with different intesity may also be used in this class. The class ends with a stretch combo.

- This is an exciting aerobic class that incorporates several styles of dance while burning calories and toning your body. The main part of the class is dedicated to dance choreo, taught in an aerobics method, but every class ends with a series of strength exercises.

- The training is based on exercises done with your own bodyweight. In addition smaller weights are being used with different equipment (mats, bosu, rubber-bands, loops, dumbells etc. Core training class is built up like circuit training - you move from one station to the other and work out in different time intervals.

- Gym Circuit Training is a guided class in the gym, where exercises are done in different stations following given time-intervals. In the circuit training coaches use the equipment available in order to formulate an effective full-body workout - ropes, treadmill, sledge, CrossCore etc but also your own bodyweight exercises are used. Exercises are made following your own tempo and correct technique. The coaches give you regressions and progressions for all the exercises if needed. It's a full body workout where everyone is welcome. The training starts at 12.10 but please be there already at 12 and start with an independent warm-up. Maximum 16 people can participate in the class - there is no registration and the first 16 get the places. If there is more people then other students can participate in the group trainings or trian in the gym individually.
